EMPIRE TO SERVE AND PROTECT
2- The principle number two: a construction the legal basis for a demand of this nature: even more important than establishing democracy itself. Building a solid legal basis that can solidify the rule of law and the law power can provide a scenario of natural stability.
Empires came and fell, and
others will come and disappear, it's like a cycle of life and death, power and
glory.
The problem is not concerned
about the duration of empires, but the lines in black and white that left
recorded in human history and its side effects.
The Roman Empire made its mark
by being a system of territorial conquest, basically, with subsequent control
under the whip of Rome and its military power and strategy.
The Roman Empire was gone in
476 AD under the command of Romulus Augustus. This empire finished because the
several invasion of barbarian people, in fact barbarian means the group of
warriors that could speak Latin language and lived abroad.
Alexander the Great (the
Great) attempted to perpetuate itself through conquest of other equally vast
and powerful empire that was also outright taking new spaces of lands and
subsequent military control, a recipe that never worked.
Then came the Third Reich in
the XX century that lasted even less. In this case the mankind had to pay the
price and lost more than fifty million deaths.
The U.S. established
themselves as another empire, though any American would deny his existence
simply by the absence of a king, but not by his classic conqueror behavior in
this case reaching a little success, it is true.
Conquest, greed,
irresponsibility, dreams of a stupendous and absolute power above all are
not worthy and destroy solid pillars to give long-term imperial sustainability.
See the ancient and
all-powerful USSR, Union of Soviet Republics, who tried to force uniting
different cultures so vast land, livelihoods so diametrically opposed.
The cement found to give support
was a zero tolerance regime with opponents of any kind and the economy faces
plastered over to pure and simple concept to grow inexorably with its military
forces one more empire simply just gone.
For decades the atomic welding
was able to hold the pre-existing tension, but faded with time as sandcastles.
The imperial concept changed
with the time of human history, changed its focus and changed where people can
reach with his huge arms.
A classic example is the U.S.
and its eternal desire for democratization of the people in conflict. The main
mistake of the American empire, now in full decay is inherent in the nature of
a complex imperial democracy that always wants to work in the short term, so
immediate.
All that it can be summed up
is the old adage of doing the task preferably by remote control in the shortest
time and return home yesterday if possible.
The most recent case in our
study was the American role in the attempted democratization of Iraq after its
invasion and death of the leader Sadan Houssein.
To get this job and kill old
dictator the U.S. created a story of horror and crime involving weapons of mass
destruction, both biological and chemical, in fact it was all a trick to
safeguard, in fact, the oil wealth that could never be under the power of a
corrupt government, monochromatic, idiosyncratic and extremist endangering the
huge deposits of oil.
Thanks for the effort to put a
rope around the neck of Sadan and try to give some peace there, of course the
wrong way to put
order in that miserable piece of land so far away.
The U.S. President George W
Bush (son) was grotesquely badly advised in Iraqi enterprise, especially in
observing some principles of maintaining peace and building democracy
envisioned by former leader of the British Liberal Party, Mr. Paddy Ashdown,
when he learned the hard way the role of the High Representative in Bosnia and
Herzegovina gastrointestinal war, a position created in the womb of the Dayton
Peace Agreement (1995 Ohio - USA):
1- The first principle is to
have a complete plan drawn up and pay attention to it. The U.S. went to Iraq to
kill Sadan and take care of oil reserves. That is it. A plan so weak and nobody
became responsible involved or lead a process of post-invasion Iraq
reconstruction:
2- The principle number two: a construction the legal basis for a demand of this nature: even more important than establishing democracy itself. Building a solid legal basis that can solidify the rule of law and the law power can provide a scenario of natural stability.
3- The number three, establish
an empire of credibility. The sooner this could have happened less challenges
have arisen and therefore less problems;
4- Start immediate structural
reforms: fiscal policy, industry customs, shield the judiciary with safeguards
consistent laws and change the role of the armed forces;
5- Grease the gears of the
international community so that it also works within a new scenario of a
country under reconstruction;
6- Avoid giving deadlines
inside this process of rebuild a nation. It’s required time to preparing and represents
an act of long duration and perseverance. Install the idea of a freedom and open society in a severely religious Iraq environment n and fights between people of different ethnicities is at least imagine a work of
three generations in a row: one to release the general idea, the second to prepare
the soil and another to work it and assimilate it.
7- Finally, take a policy direction
to deals with new the scenario of peace located in a secure and prosperous
democratic state.
The central point of the
mistake occurred in Iraq crisis was the very short time expended with one
failure initial plan. Kills Sadan and get back home?
More than screaming out that
Iraq was free from Sadan Hossein was helping the Iraq people build diverse
systems such as: health care, transportation, education, new system of credit prepared to assist the
local entrepreneurship and finally help an education program for technical
training lending to them the best American heads of Harvard, Yale and Princeton
Universities.
That's exactly what the
British Empire tried to do in India. Without much success is quite true,
because the English have forgotten to help Indians in population control that
exploded when the country emerged from an almost medieval era to a world full
of new railways trade and capital movement.
What the British did was not
enough to take the millions of subsistence farmers’ line and certainly
insufficient in number to serve a population in severe growth worsened the
dramatic local habit to gather gold.
Although partially successful,
the British pledged to the neck with an original plan and lent to India in time
your best decade’s economists, scientists, doctors, engineers and teachers. And
they all moved there.
Too important this paragraph!
There are today among the Indian
population several families from English origin that adds millions perhaps who
have embraced this country as homeland. American did the same? Where? When?
Never a U.S. plan takes this
idea as a pure reality or could make sense.
The order was to kill Sadan
and get out abandoning the Iraq people to their own destiny.
If the U.S. wants there is
enough time to do so. It is necessary an only consult the history and pass the
carbon paper acting successes what the English empire did, a real globalization
that helped former British colonies to be today's big emerging nations: Canada,
Australia, New Zealand and why not India as the country is now part of a select
club of countries with GDP growing like sands in the sand storm.
President Obama, thank you for
your attention. And God bless you and great America.
